This is the latest update regarding the release of my first book “The Atrahasis Deciphered”. While the eBook and the printed version is now available at just about all eBook retailers, I’ve also released the whole book on this website divided into five easily digestible sections. Just navigate to “The Atrahasis Deciphered” in the Ancient Beginning Articles menu above and you’ll notice that all five sub-sections are available in The Atrahasis Deciphered sub pull-down menu. The book is a fully detailed translate of the ancient Atrahasis tablets which are on display at the London museum. The ancient cuneiform tablets tell of the origin and creation of humans with the ancient epic ending in a giant flood. Hmm… All to familiar you may think. To add to interest, this ancient creation story was written thousands of years before the Genesis account and I’ve also added my various observations, questioning and elaborating where felt necessary in my detailed footnotes. It’s not a long book, so reading the whole story with footnotes should take less than 2 hours. At the bottom of each of the books sub-sections I’ve added some links to where you can purchase the eBook for literally a couple of dollar and the printed version will hopefully also be available in a week or two for a little more. Any **nice** comment you wish to leave on any of the eBook sites will be greatly appreciated and please feel free to contact me with any questions or queries you may have, or, maybe add a comment under the eBook sub-section if you choose to read it online. At last my Atrahasis eBook has been published. It seemed to have taken 3 life times to get it sorted. Anyway, it can be downloaded from a smorgasbord of websites as an eBook (just put “The Atrahasis Deciphered” into Google) the printed version will also soon be available. It’s available as an eBook for a nominal fee of about the same price as a cup of coffee and the printed version will be a little more, but still as cheap as I can get away with. It’s my first effort so I deliberately made it less than a 100 pages and it’s designed to be be easy reading . The book is written with the footnotes playing an important part to the story, so make sure you read them as well. The time to read the book should be under 2 hours. Anyway, if you want to read it online you can on this site, just click the “The Atrahasis Deciphered” pull-down on the title banner above and start reading it in 5x easily digestible small segments, starting with the Introduction. BTW, it’s the “whole” book, so there’s no “Buy Me Now” surprises near the end 🙂
I have to admit, I haven’t been as active on this site as I intended to be. This year I plan to remedy this by adding some new articles on my observations and opinion on mainly ancient origins and myths. Coming up soon is a book I’ve been writing on the ancient Cuneiform translations of the Atrahasis tablets. The Atrahasis story explains how the ancient gods of old fabricated humans to take over the laborious tasks of mining and digging canals after a labor revolt of their workers. The story continues to then focus on a king by the name of Atrahasis and his struggle to survive and help his people when one of the controlling gods by the name of Enlil attempts to eliminate the human race. Atrahasis is helped by one of the creator gods and brother to Enlil by the name of Enki as various methods are used by Enlil to try erase humans from the planet. The Atrahasis story ends with a dramatic flood similar to the story of Noah in Genesis with an interesting conclusion. The Atrahasis epic dates back to around 1,200 years before the Noah’s ark incident occurred and there are many questionable comparisons between the two stories. My version takes the commonalities of the various translations of the Cuneiform tablets available over the last 150 years or so and I’ve also taken the verse formats of these translations and re-written them in a story format. Much of the book is also a collection of my conclusions, observations, proofs and opinion which intends to hopefully get the reader thinking. I’m going to post the entire book on this site to be read by anyone with no conditions, but will also offer it as an eBook for a very small token price which will hopefully help fund other similar projects I have planned. Anyway, stay tuned as this book should be posted in a month or so 🙂
Greetings Person Who’s Reading This 🙂
It’s the first day of September 2015 and I’m typing this as a sort-of update introduction on what’s been posted on my shiny new website. At the moment there’s only two articles I’ve added, however, basic as they are I’m sure you’ll still find them interesting. The first one I’ve added was an article on the “Gympie Pyramid” that Lady Q and myself were fortunate to have visited while we were in Queensland for the Nexus conference in August this year. Both the conference and the pyramid were quite exhilarating experiences and I must say and we walked away with our heads full of interesting memories from both. Anyway, have a look at the article, it’s listed under the “ANCIENT BEGINNINGS” pull down menu as I figured the topic of a Gympie Pyramid was more relevant to this category. The more recent article on the Shemitah is also under this menu as its origin dates back to around 1,500 BC, so its roots are also from the times of antiquity. The Shemitah alone is a topic worth discussing, however, read it and you’ll soon understand that there may be interesting times ahead, if not right around the corner.
This message wouldn’t be complete without a plug for my Meetup groups, so if this sort of stuff intrigues and interest you and you want to meet other crazy people that either have an interest in our ancient origins or the type of stuff that’s generally not discussed at your church study group. Check these two groups out by clicking on the “Check out this Meetup Group” in the “red boxes” on the Meetup sites listed below. Also, if you want to contact me with any info around South Australia, feel free to send me a quick message at : firstname.lastname@example.org for an email chat 🙂
Anyway, this site is still in its early days but I hope to add lots of interesting articles in the future to help people think and demonstrate how interesting and exciting the world we live in is 🙂
